35 Days of IDA
Thirty-five years ago, IDA changed the way people analyze binary code.
Since then, it has grown alongside an entire industry — shaped by reverse engineers, malware analysts, vulnerability researchers, hobbyists, educators, and security teams who continue to push the tool in new directions every day.
To celebrate, we're launching 35 Days of IDA, a 35-day campaign running from May 21 through June 25, 2026.
Over the next 35 days, we'll be sharing community stories, memories from IDA's history, and maybe even some hints about where IDA is heading next.
And of course, we have a few things for the community as well.

35 Ways to Use IDA
This is the part of the campaign we're most excited about.
We're asking the community to help us build a collection of 35 ways people use IDA — workflows, techniques, use cases, tips, tricks, automations, plugins, weird edge cases, or anything else that's become part of your reverse engineering process.
From common workflows to highly specialized research, we want to showcase the breadth of what people actually do with IDA every day.
If you've discovered a workflow, shortcut, or use case that others might not know about, we'd love to hear it.
How it works:
- Submit entries anytime during the 35-day campaign
- Submit as many ideas as you'd like
- At the end of the campaign, we'll randomly select 35 participants to receive a limited-edition 35th Anniversary IDA swag package
Here's to 35 More
IDA has grown from a DOS-era disassembler running on machines with 640KB of RAM into a platform that powers some of the most sophisticated security research in the world. That evolution is inseparable from the community that has shaped it, pushed it, and found new uses for it year after year.
Thank you for being part of the journey so far. We're excited to celebrate the past with you over the next 35 days — and even more excited about what's ahead.
